Scrum Poker in Discord
Estimay is free scrum poker (planning poker) that runs inside Discord as an Activity. Your team estimates stories in the voice channel you already meet in, on desktop, web or phone, with no account to create.
How it works
- Add Estimay to Discord. Add the app to your server or to your account. You only do this once.
- Start it in a voice channel. Join a voice channel or call, open Activities (the rocket button) and pick Estimay. The first person in creates the room.
- Everyone else joins the same room. Teammates in the channel join the Activity and land straight in that room, with their Discord name already filled in: no name prompt, no sign-up. The Invite button's "Invite to the activity" opens Discord's own invite dialog.
What you get
- The whole room, next to the call. Hidden votes until the reveal, live or async rooms, a discussion timer, custom decks, extra questions and stories split by discipline: the same room as in a browser.
- Discord and browser together. The Invite button's link and QR code open the room in a browser, so anyone outside Discord votes in the same room, with the same cards, discussion timer and results.
- Your seat follows you. In Discord you are recognised by your Discord account, so you keep your seat on any device you open the Activity on. You can still change your name in Settings.
- Free to use. Unlimited players, rooms and stories, and every feature available today, with no card needed.
Privacy
When you open the Activity, Discord asks you once to let Estimay see who you are. Estimay then receives your Discord user ID and display name, and nothing else: no email address, no servers, no friends and no messages. Ending a session deletes the room at once. Read more in our privacy policy.
If something looks off, the same room always works in a browser, and we'd like to hear about it.
Try it now. Add Estimay to Discord, or create a room in your browser. Planning in Telegram instead? See scrum poker in Telegram, or everything a room offers.
Guides on the blog
- What is planning poker (scrum poker)? A quick guide for agile teams. How planning poker (scrum poker) works, why everyone votes at once, what the card numbers mean, and how to run your first free round in a couple of minutes.
- Timeboxing sprint planning: give every decision a clock. How to timebox sprint planning: three nested clocks, a minute-by-minute budget for a 90-minute meeting, and what to do when the time runs out.
- Planning poker and team consensus: how to read a reveal. Consensus is not everyone agreeing. Six shapes a planning poker reveal takes, what each one means, and the one-step rule that ends the endless debate.
